Thank you for sharing this content! I retired today at 50 years old from a job I loved but was killing me. I am an art teacher who taught 5-11 years old olds for 28+years. Last year I was on leave to care for my mother as she received a life-changing kidney transplant. My sister, daughter and I carry the same genetic kidney disease. It was a wake up call for me. I recognized that I had a pretty good idea about what kind of “shelf life” I had going forward, between 5 and 15 years before I would need to remain within 2-hours of a hospital awaiting transplant. Whatever was going to happen next needed to happen soon. ❤️ This story is just the validation I needed.
